YOU ALL KNOW ALL OF THAT.

OUR POPULATION FROM THE CENSUS, YOU'VE, YOU'VE SEEN, UM, AND WE BEAT THE PROJECTION BY ABOUT 5% OF WHAT THEY THOUGHT OUR POPULATION WOULD BE.

THE ISSUE FOR THE APPRAISAL DISTRICT IS STAFFING.

UM, BECAUSE FOR EVERY 20,000 NEW PARCELS, WE NEED THREE PEOPLE BECAUSE FOR EVERY 10,000 PARCELS, WE NEED A NEW APPRAISER BECAUSE WE'RE ON A THREE YEAR REINSPECTION CYCLE, AND WE CAN DO 3000 TO 3,500 INSPECTIONS PER YEAR PER PERSON.

SO FOR 10,000, IT'LL TAKE ONE PERSON THREE YEARS TO, TO SEE THEM ALL.

THE THIRD PERSON IS FOR HOME STAY EXEMPTIONS.

UM, YOU KNOW, THE PROPERTY WAS LEASED FROM THE COUNTY BACK IN THE MID, MID EIGHTIES, AND THE FACILITY WAS BUILT FOR THE STAFFING AT THAT TIME, OUR EXPANSION ROOM, UM, I GUESS THERE WAS SOME, BUT THAT WAS TAKEN WHEN THE LEASE WAS REWORKED IN 2011 FOR THE MEMORIAL.

UM, THAT'S, SO OUR BOUNDARIES ARE BASICALLY THE PROPERTY WHERE WE ARE RIGHT NOW.

THE FRONT BUILDING, YOU CAN'T ADD ONTO IT.

IT'S NOT IN GOOD ENOUGH CONDITION.

UH, WE HAD A PART OF THE CEILING FALL OUT IN THE LOBBY ABOUT THE TIME A WOMAN GOT UP TO WALK TO THE COUNTER, IT JUST MISSED HER.

BUT IN THE NORTH END, IT'S CRACKED ALL THE WAY AROUND.

AND ANYWAY, MY MAPPING DEPARTMENT, I OFFERED TO BUY 'EM HARD HATS, YOU KNOW, JUST IN CASE.

WE ARE, WE ARE KIND OF IN A HURRY.

WE HIRED AN ARCHITECT OUT OF FORT WORTH, UM, TWO YEARS AGO.

WE TOLD HIM WE NEED A BUILDING, JUST, JUST A BUILDING.

WE JUST NEED A PLACE TO WORK.

WE NEED A, A SQUARE FOOT BUILDING COST BETWEEN 303 50 A SQUARE FOOT.

THEY CAME BACK WITH A BUILDING THAT $600 SQUARE FOOT.

WE FIRED THEM, AND WE HIRED ANOTHER ARCHITECT OUT OF TYLER THAT DID OUR, OUR CURRENT PROPOSAL.

AND THE BUILDING COSTS ON THAT ARE COMING IN ABOUT $348 A FOOT.

WE HAVE AN AGREEMENT WITH KAUFMAN I S D PENDING ENTITY APPROVAL FOR, UH, SIX ACRES, ABOUT SIX AND A HALF ACRES OUT ON 2 43, WHERE THEY'RE TRYING TO GET A BOND PASSED FOR THEIR NEW PHILLIPS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.

UM, THEY WILL SELL US THAT LAND AT WHAT THEY PAID FOR IT AT $4,000 AN AN ACRE, WHICH IS AN AMAZING LAND PRICE IN KAUFFMAN COUNTY.

WE'RE NOT GONNA FIND BETTER THAN THAT.

WE, WE KNOW THE CITY IS WORKING ON INFRASTRUCTURE AROUND IT.

UH, WE WILL, WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR SEWER LINE FROM THE SOUTH SIDE OF 2 43 OVER TWO.

THIS PROPERTY, YOU'D HAVE TO GO UNDER 2 43.

BUT WE FIGURE BY THE TIME THE BUILDING IS PAID FOR, WE WILL BE UP BETWEEN 45 AND 50, 50 STAFF MEMBERS AT THE CURRENT RATE OF GROWTH.

SO, AND BY THEN I'LL BE RETIRED AND IT'LL BE SOMEBODY ELSE'S PROBLEM.

SO, UM, ANYWAY, WE ARE ADDING, OR WE HAVE ADDED IN THE LAST FIVE YEARS, APPROXIMATELY 5,000 PARCELS PER YEAR.

WE'VE PICKED UP OVER 20,000 NEW HOUSES.

WE HAVE A TON OF NEW HOUSES, YOU KNOW, THE SUBDIVISIONS THAT ARE COMING IN AND POOR ALBERT JUST CAN'T KEEP UP WITH .

NOW THAT, THAT WOULD CHANGE, LIKE I SAID, EVERY YEAR, DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF ENTITIES, WE KEEP ADDING ENTITIES, MY DISTRICT'S, WATER DISTRICT, CITIES, PIS THAT ARE TAXING.

SO ALL OF THOSE WILL BE ADDED AND ADD TO THAT PRO RATA SHARE DOESN'T MEAN IT'LL LESSEN YOUR AMOUNT.
