I THINK THAT'S LIKE THREE DUMPSTERS IN EACH ONE OF THOSE TRUCKS. AND THEY HAD 1730 YARD DUMPSTERS OF TRASH, TWO 30 YARD DUMPSTER TO TIRES, WHICH I REALLY AM EXCITED ABOUT. UM, BUT THE REAL INFORMATION STARTS ON, UH, PAGE FOUR. UM, SO RIGHT NOW WITH THE, THE PLAN THAT YOU HAVE, THE LAST 12 MONTHS HAVE BEEN RUNNING REALLY WELL. UM, SO WE'RE GONNA GO DOWN TO WHERE IT SAYS THE LOSS RATIO, SO THE 12 MONTH LOSS RATIO AND THE 36 MONTH LOSS RATIO. SO, JUST AS A REMINDER, WHAT THE LOSS RATIO IS, IF THAT LOSS RATIO IS AT A HUNDRED PERCENT, THAT MEANS EVERY DOLLAR PAID IN FOR PREMIUMS GETS PAID OUT IN CLAIMS. YEAH. SO OUR TARGET IS AROUND 94%. UH, SO OVER THE LAST 12 MONTHS, YOU'VE OPERATED AT 94.6%, AND THEN OVER THE LAST THREE YEARS, IT'S CLOSER TO 102.7%. SO, UH, I'VE MET WITH, WITH IRMA AND THE HR TEAM AND SHARED THAT IT'S GOING THE DIRECTION THAT WE WANT IT TO GO. ABSOLUTELY. OF COURSE. I MEAN, JUST THOSE NUMBERS CAN CHANGE JUST, I MEAN, IF YOU HAVE TWO PEOPLE WITH CANCER OUT OF ALL OF OUR EMPLOYEES, SO IT'S NOT LIKE THERE'S ABUSE, IT'S JUST SOMETHING MAJOR RIGHT. UM, I'M ENCOURAGED WITH THE DIRECTION THAT IT'S GOING. UM, I KNOW TASHA HAS BEEN WORKING WITH IRMA AND YOUR HR TEAM, THE, AND THE WELLNESS COMMITTEE IN, UH, BRINGING SOME EXCITING STUFF, UM, INCLUDING SOMETHING WE'RE GONNA HAVE COME OUT HERE, I THINK IN JUNE. I'LL LET HER TALK ABOUT THAT. UM, BUT IT'S GOING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. UH, THERE'S A SLIDE TOWARDS THE END THAT HAS OUR TIMELINE OF WHAT TO EXPECT FROM HERE. UM, BASICALLY OUR RENEWAL RATES ARE GONNA GO OUT TOWARDS THE END OF THIS MONTH, SO I BELIEVE IT'S AROUND MAY 20TH, 22ND. OKAY. IS WHEN THOSE ARE GONNA COME OUT. OUR BOARD JUST MET AND WE HAVE, WHAT IS OUR POOL NEEDED AMOUNT. UM, AND SO THAT'S WHAT WE EXPECT WE NEED AS AN INCREASE FOR THE POOL ITSELF TO BE ABLE TO COVER CLAIMS IN THE NEXT YEAR. AND THAT'S GONNA COME IN AT AROUND 4.65%. LAST YEAR IT WAS LIKE 6.2%. SO THE POOL IS PERFORMING BETTER AND WE ARE ENCOURAGED BY THE OUTLOOK OVER THE NEXT YEAR. UM, I DON'T HAVE A AN IDEA OF WHAT YOUR RENEWAL RATE WILL BE. UM, I'M THINKING IT'LL PROBABLY BE HIGHER THAN THE POOL NEEDED, BUT I DON'T KNOW EXACTLY HOW MUCH. BUT JUST BASED ON THE, THE THREE YEAR LOOK BACK PERIOD WHERE THAT'LL END UP, IT CERTAINLY WON'T BE AS HIGH OF A RENEWAL AS IT WAS LAST YEAR. SO LAST YEAR, UH, WE HAD LIKE 9.1% LAST YEAR. YES, SIR. IT, IT WON'T BE THAT HIGH. UM, I, I'M THINKING IT'S GONNA BE IN SOMEWHERE IN THE SIX TO 7% RANGE. PRETTY GOOD. IT'S VERY, VERY TENTATIVE. AND OBVIOUSLY ANY INCREASE IN INCREASE AND A, A STRAIN ON THE BUDGET AND WE'RE SURE ABSOLUTELY AWARE OF THAT. UM, IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN SEEING ADDITIONAL PLANS OR OTHER OTHER IDEAS THAT WE MIGHT HAVE TO MAYBE BRING THAT RATE DOWN, I'D BE HAPPY TO COME OUT AND DO A BUDGET WORKSHOP IN JUNE. THE NETWORK IS ALMOST IDENTICAL. UM, WE WOULD MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAD ALL OF THE INFORMATION. THE ONLY DIFFERENCES WOULD BE YOU WOULD NEED A PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR AND A REFERRAL TO SPECIALIST. SO I'M FAMILIAR WITH THE, THE REPUTATION THAT HMOS HAVE. THERE'S ALSO SOME OTHER THINGS THAT WE CAN DO. SO IF, IF THE INCREASE IS, YOU KNOW, SOMETHING THAT YOU WANT TO TRY TO CURB, I CAN COME BACK OUT IN JUNE AND WE CAN DISCUSS, DISCUSS WITH OUR OPTIONS. WELL, WE'D LIKE MAKE SURE IF ANY COUNTY CAN PICK IT UP INSTEAD OF BEING THE BURDEN ON THE EMPLOYEE. WE'VE ALWAYS TRIED TO DO THAT, AND I THINK WE'VE ALWAYS DONE THAT. ABSOLUTELY. SO MOVING ON TO CHRONIC CONDITIONS, WE'RE LOOKING AT HYPERTENSION, RENAL DIABETES, AND THEN COMING INTO THIS YEAR, UM, HYPER LIP, UH, HYPER LIP FOR THE MEDIA, THE CANCER OR BLOOD, UM, HYPERLIPIDEMIA. THERE YOU GO. WORDS ARE HARD. . YES. UM, SO THAT'S, UM, THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING AT FOR THE PREVIOUS PLAN YEAR AND THE CURRENT PLAN YEAR. YOU CAN SEE THERE, UM, HOW MUCH MONEY HAS GONE OUT TOWARD THAT AND THE NUMBER OF CLAIMANTS. UM, SO THE ONLY ONE THAT'S DIFFERENT IS RENAL HAS DECREASED AND THEN THE HYPERLIPIDEMIA IS INCREASING, UM, OR TRENDING HIGH FOR THE CURRENT YEAR. UM, BUT AGAIN, THAT CHANGES JUST LIKE, UM, MR. HUNT SAID FROM MONTH TO MONTH. YOU KNOW, THOSE, THOSE THINGS CAN CHANGE AS WELL BECAUSE IT'S JUST A CONSTANT INFLUX OF NUMBERS THAT COME IN THROUGH CLAIMS. SO, UM, THAT'S JUST WHAT THAT'S LOOKING AT. MOVING ON TO YOUR, UM, RX CATEGORIES. UM, ANTI-DIABETIC IS GONNA BE YOUR TOP FOR PREVIOUS AND CURRENT, BUT YOU'LL NOTICE THERE THAT THOSE NUMBERS HAVE DECREASED SIGNIFICANTLY. IF YOU ARE FAMILIAR, IN NOVEMBER, WE DID PUT IN A PRIOR AUTHORIZATION FOR THOSE GLP ONE DRUGS FOR LIKE, UM, OZEMPIC AND THOSE TYPES OF DRUGS THAT WERE BEING USED. UM, THEY ARE DI THEY ARE PRESCRIBED FOR PEOPLE WITH TYPE TWO DIABETES, BUT THEY WERE TRENDING POPULAR FOR PEOPLE FOR WEIGHT LOSS. AND SO PEOPLE THAT WERE NOT DIAGNOSED WITH TYPE TWO DIABETES WERE GETTING THOSE DRUGS AND THEY'RE SUPER EXPENSIVE. AND SO WE WERE SEEING A LOT OF COSTS COME OUT IN CLAIMS, UM, FOR COUNTIES AND FOR THE POOL IN THAT AREA. SO WE DID PUT IN A PRIOR AUTHORIZATION IN NOVEMBER, AND SINCE DOING THAT, WE'RE MAKING SURE THAT THE DRUG IS ONLY GOING TO THOSE PEOPLE THAT ARE DIAGNOSED WITH TYPE TWO DIABETES AND IT'S NOT BEING USED FOR WEIGHT WEIGHT MANAGEMENT. UM, WE DO HAVE SOME OTHER THINGS TO ENCOURAGE WEIGHT MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS AND THINGS LIKE THAT. SO WE ARE NOT, WE'RE NOT, UM, ENCOURAGING THAT SPEND ON RX CLAIMS. SO YOU CAN SEE THERE THAT THAT NUMBER HAS GONE DOWN SIGNIFICANTLY, UM, HERE IN KAUFMAN AS WELL AS ACROSS THE STATE. SO THAT'S SOMETHING THAT WE ARE SEEING. UM, SO HOPEFULLY IN THE FUTURE THOSE NUMBERS WILL COME DOWN AS WELL AS, UM, TARGETED IMMUNOMODULATORS AND YOUR, UM, CANCER AND CANCER THERAPY MEDIC, UH, MEDICATIONS. AND THEN JUST, I THINK THE ONLY REASON WHY A DHD MEDICATION IS TRENDING HIGH IN THIS CURRENT YEAR IS BECAUSE THERE'S NOT A LOT OF RX EXPENSE IN OTHER AREAS. SO IF YOU'LL SEE THAT NUMBER IS VERY LOW, WHICH IS VERY CONSISTENT WITH PREVIOUS YEARS IN, UM, IN YOUR CLAIMS. SO, UM, MOVING ON TO ANNUAL PHYSICALS, WE DO ENCOURAGE ANNUAL PHYSICALS FOR EMPLOYEES, ESPECIALLY WITH Y'ALL.
