SO WE, UH, IT'S REALLY HARD TO FIND A GOOD GIS GUY.

AND THEN WE CLARIFIED OUR STANDARD, OUR UM, OPERATING PROCEDURES AT THE BOTTOM ON HOW WHEN AN EMPLOYEE WHO HAS EXCEEDED THEIR 15 DAYS, IF THEY WOULD LIKE TO ELECT TO USE ANY CURRENT LEAVE THAT THEY HAVE, UM, THEY WILL NEED TO SUBMIT A WAIVER FORM TO PAYROLL SAYING THAT I AM CHOOSING TO BE PAID FROM MY ACCRUED LEAVE.

UM, BECAUSE IT'S JUST STANDARD PROTOCOL THAT WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SUBTRACT THAT AT ALL WITHOUT THEIR PERMISSION.

SO UNLESS THE WHOLE DEPARTMENT WENT OVER BUDGET, ACCORDING TO

UM, OUR OUTSIDE AUDITORS, I HAVE MADE THEM SEND IT TO ME IN WRITING.

AND THEN WE FOUND OUT WHEN YOU GAVE THE STEP RAISES TO LAW ENFORCEMENT, WE CALCULATED THE LONGEVITY ON THE BASE, WHICH WAS PART OF THAT STEP PAY.

WE SENT THAT DOCUMENT TO HR AND THE PEOPLE AT THAT TIME THAT ENTERED THE STUFF DID NOT CORRECT THE LONGEVITY.

SO WE'VE GOT A FEW PEOPLE THAT WERE HAVING TO FIX THAT LONGEVITY FOR.

IT WAS BUDGETED, IT WAS JUST NOT PUT IN THE SYSTEM CORRECTLY SO THEY COULD GET PAID.

AND OUR STAFF WE'RE CHANGING THE WAY WE'RE DOING SOME OF THAT NOW AND MAKE SURE WE'RE FILLING OUT COMPLETELY WITH EVERYTHING THERE.

'CAUSE WHAT WE HAD IS A SERGEANT STEPPED DOWN TO A REGULAR DEPUTY AND HE GOT THAT STEP PASSED, BUT IT DIDN'T GET TRANSFERRED OVER.

SO YEAH.

AND LIKE ANOTHER PRIME EXAMPLE, LIKE IF THEY ARE A UM, CID AND THEY GET A CLOTHING ALLOWANCE OF THE 600 IS PUT THROUGH PAYROLL NOW SO THAT THEY'RE TAXED ON IT.

WELL IF ONE OF 'EM GETS A PROMOTION OUT OF THERE SOMEWHERE ELSE OR A DEMOTION, WE GOTTA MAKE SURE WE GOTTA REMOVE THE NEW PEOPLE IN HR WOULDN'T KNOW TO GO TO THAT SCREEN AND TAKE THAT ALLOWANCE AWAY FROM 'EM.

SO IT'S GOOD THAT SHE'S PUT IN A MORE DETAILED FORM THAT IT HAS ALL THOSE LITTLE THINGS, ALLOWANCES AND STUFF THAT WE GIVE 'EM SO WE CAN TRACK IT.

SO THEY ARE IN PAYROLL LOOKING.

WELL, DOES THAT MEAN THE ENTIRE COUNTY THAT REALLY DOESN'T APPLY TO THE ENTIRE COUNTY? SO I'VE HAD A LADY THAT UH, WAS UH, TRYING TO FIND A JOB IN ANOTHER COUNTY AND CALLED OVER HERE AND FOUND OUT THAT SHE WAS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR REHIRING, QUITE UPSET ABOUT IT.

SO I'VE JUST ASKED THEM TO LOOK AT THE POSSIBILITY OF ADDING THAT TO IT.
